    The Media Circle of D. S. Senanayake College has been publishing the school’s newspaper, Siyapatha, for 24 years. This trilingual publication in Sinhala, Tamil, and English showcases the creativity of our students. Each term, students contribute essays, poems, artwork, and drawings, making the newspaper an important part of the school.  We take great pride in producing Siyapatha to ensure it’s not only enjoyed within the school but also recognized across the island. Every edition reflects the ideas and creativity of our students, with each individual contributing in their unique way. Senanayake College with being a club with a long history and many achievements it is safe to say that The Media Circle of D. S. Senanayake College, better known as MCDSSC is a developed and successful club. Our Vision To become a leading media unit in Sri Lanka and assuring a standard place for D. S. Senanayake College in the Sri Lankan school announcing arena while making each member a successful media personality in the country. Our Mission To promoting and developing the vocal skills and announcing among the school students as an important co-curricular activity to produce a developed batch of media personalities with a proper awareness about announcing.

"සූර්ය මංගල්‍යය" - Donation Program

  During the "Soorya Mangalyaya" New Year Festival hosted by the Media Circle of D. S. Senanayake College we donated school items to the Arichchikattuwa primary school Chilaw in relation to the famous new year tradition "ganu denu kereema" and this was done during the 30th of May. As guests of this occasion, we had the attendance of the Principal of D. S. Senanayake College Prasanna Udhumuhandiram Sir, the President of the Old Boys' Association Pasad Weerasekara Aiya, the Secretary of the school development association Mr. Priyantha Sahabandu, the Master in Charge of the Media Circle Kanchana Perera Madam, Menaga Sathyamoorthi Madam, Dhammika Jayasinghe Sir and Nuwan Rathnayake Sir.
